Our new hope envisions a Church that is as welcoming as God’s grace, as loving as God’s heart, and as reconciling as God’s Word.
New Hope is a community of diverse people seeking to deepen their knowledge of and relationship with Jesus Christ, to bear witness to the goodness of the Kingdom of God, and to reach out in compassion to the world hoping to bring wholeness to the lives of all God’s children.
The American Presbyterian Church has several branches. We belong to the Presbyterian Church (USA).
What differentiates us from the other branches most especially is that, because God’s grace is equally accessible to all human beings, we invite everyone equally into membership and ordain anyone—regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation—to leadership positions in the church. For the same reason, PC(USA) churches may authorize and pastors may perform same sex weddings.
