Presbyterian Women of the Congregation

Our Purpose

Forgiven and freed By God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:   to nurture our faith through prayer and bible study; to support the mission of the Church worldwide; to work for justice and peace; to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God's Kingdom.

Presbyterian Women's Circles at New Hope

The Day Circle meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 11am in the family life center. We are currently doing a “Women of the Bible” bible study. Each month we are sharing the life and times of one or two women found in the bible. The Day Circle members actively visit with our local shut-ins and several times a year we try to put together a small gift for them

Breakfast Circle continues to grow. We have several members of various ages and interests.  We meet the 2nd Sunday of each month at 8:30 am for breakfast and it is hosted by different members. We have a meaningful devotion each meeting helping us grow in our lives spiritually.  We conduct various fundraisers to aid in service projects including our own Food Closet.   We have also helped with funding and personal support for Vacation Bible School, our annual Easter Celebration, Hanging of the Greens, and a Father’s Day celebration gift.  We have a women’s retreat annually going different camps all over North Carolina.  We have a fun and exciting Christmas Party each year exchanging gifts lots of laughs. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.
