Welcome to the Children’s Ministry of New Hope Presbyterian Church. We believe each child is unique and special. At New Hope we give kids a place where they can grow in their spiritual journey, relationships with each other and in Christ. We want children to know Jesus loves them. They will learn about Jesus and how they can follow Him and understand His plan for their lives. At New Hope we are committed to teaching and ministering to preschool through fifth grade children and their families. Our desire is to be a place where kids needs can be met and they can be ministered as they learn about God. We believe it is important to building a partnership with parents to ensure children will grow in their faith. Our goal is for children to learn about the Bible through a variety of experiences. Through these experiences kids will develop a real relationship with God. Sunday School At New Hope children have several opportunities to learn about Bible truths. Our Sunday School classes are taught by enthusiastic and dedicated teachers who love children. They help kids understand the Bible and apply it to their lives. Kids use a variety of ways to learn about the Bible. Games, crafts, snacks, puzzles, skits, and many other activities are utilized to help children understand Bible lessons. Our teachers use Bible based curriculum that help bring the stories to life. At New Hope we want to see children grow in their faith as well as in their relationships with each other. As kids grow, they will learn how to share their faith with other people in their lives. LOGOS Youth Club Logos goals are to create a desire for children to accepting Jesus as their Personal Savior; to develop disciples and leaders in the church; to provide activities and Bible study in a Christian setting; to enable young people to face their future with a foundation in Christ; and to develop Christians who are willing to share their faith. LOGOS is our mid-week ministry for children and youth in grades Preschool -12th. This four part program parallels the school year. Through these four parts, Bible Time, Worship Skills, Activity Time and a fellowship meal, we see kids faith grow and relationships deepen. LOGOS begins in the fall of each year, and continues through the school year with breaks during holidays. This ministry is led by over 25 adult volunteers who teach classes, create crafts, eat dinner, play games, cook food, wash dishes and lead choirs. We have weekly meetings that enable kids to enjoy Christian fellowship through fun, games, exciting seasonal drama and music, activities, bible application, and a fellowship dinner. In Worship Skills kids learn to serve through choir, drama, skits, and Christmas and Easter/End of Year programs. This program provides opportunities for everyone in church, young or old to become friends. Logos also brings families in to participate in the program as we work together to help our children know God. LOGOS Choir/Worship Skills Students in preschool -5th grades attend Worship Skills classes during LOGOS learning songs and practicing prayer. In class, kids will learn to praise their Lord in song and in prayer. They lead in worship once monthly during the LOGOS year. These children lead a special Christmas Service and play each year. They conclude their year with a Youth Day Service celebrating all they have learned during the year. Come and see what God is doing in the lives of our children and leaders here at New Hope!
